One of the best ways to find alignment with your body is enjoying power-packed ingredients in your juice, nut mylk, and smoothie blends. It’s pretty simple but requires determination, a bit more time to explore flavor sensations and a great willingness to understand you body’s intricate needs. Juices and Nut Mylks are easy wholesome. For example, during winter months are you craving strong aromatic tea blends, homemade almond mylk chai, or a nice lemon-cayenne-sweetened water? In the heat of summer try freshly picked fruits and vegetables. Take advantage of the power of the season with nutrient rich kale, grounding and supporting burdock root, and bright antioxidant rich fruits like Marion berries (or lingon, blackberry, blueberry, so many berries!).
1 Cup of Almonds Soaked Overnight
4 Cups of Water
1 T. Cinnamon
1/2 T. nutmeg
1 T. vanilla
1/4 clove
Pinch of sea salt
Soak the almonds overnight rinsing regularly. At least three times. You can soak almonds for up to two days. This helps release the protective coating and also for liquefying them when it’s time to blend. Add all ingredients into a high-speed blender. Then pour out all the blended ingredients through a nut bag and enjoy!
1 Cup Raw Brazil nuts, soaked 2 hours or more
4 Cups filtered water
1/4 cup raw agave or raw honey
2 T. coconut butter
1 T. vanilla extract
1 T. lecithin (opt)
2 packets stevia
pinch of salt
First soak the nuts, they must be rinsed regularly. When ready, mix the nuts in a high speed blender, mix the nuts and filtered water. Blast on high for several minutes making sure that the nuts are well processed. Strain through a nut milk bag. A nut bag is a worthwhile investment. Even if to say the words, ‘nutbag.’ Rinse out the blender and add the remaining ingredients. Blend to get the smoothest texture.
Variation: add a pint of organic strawberries or 3 heaping tablespoons of organic coca powder or carob.
