Best Skincare For Wintertime

All That Glitters…..

Best Skincare For Wintertime

Ladies, have you winterized your skin and makeup bags for the upcoming winter season?
This is the time for celebration with family and friends and looking radiant morning through night is essential. The winter season is the driest time of the year, and it’s important to take precautions to safeguard your skin against its harshest elements. Let’s start with your winter coat, so to speak. Your moisturizer is essential day and night for healthy, radiant-looking skin. View the best skincare For wintertime.

For day, make sure SPF is part of the game plan:

MAC DAY SPF 15 LIGHT MOISTURE

This is a lightweight, fast absorbing base that instantly layers the skin with moisture while protecting it from the elements. It also firms the skin and protects it against UVA and UVB rays. Caffeine calms and soothes the skin in case you suffer from sensitive, red skin.

RODAN + FIELDS REVERSE – PROTECT UVA/UVB SPF 15

This multi-protection lightweight formula helps maintain skin’s brightness and defends against sun-induced lines and brown spots. This sunscreen offers broad-spectrum sun protection for both UVA and UVB rays.

AVEDA DUAL NATURE FACE PROTECTION SPF 15

This is an ultra-sheer daily sunscreen for the face. Helps reduce risk of both sun and environmental damage – which can lead to visible signs of aging – using mineral-derived sunscreens and a plant-derived anti-oxidant cocktail.

MAC Foundation: You Deserve The Best

I love all of M.A.C Cosmetics foundation formulas. They offer from sheer to full coverage and even something in between. All of their foundations are non-acnegenic and are dermatologist tested. For sheer Coverage, I highly recommend SELECT TINT SPF 15 – this is an amazing lightweight tint that suits any skin type. For medium coverage, look at STUDIO TECH Foundation which is also for normal to oily skin. Their SELECT SPF 15 MOISTUREBLEND Foundation is perfect for normal to very dry skin. For full coverage, I highly recommend M.A.C FULL COVERAGE Foundation.

Winter Beauty Styles

Let your eyes take center stage this season. Festive shades of gold and silver are very chic this time of year. Light up your eyes with M.A.C Pigments. They are loaded with the super-rich, long-lasting color. Some of my favorite Pigment shades to use during the winter are: SILVER, WHITE GOLD, KITSCHMAS, OLD GOLD and COPPER SPARKLE. Apply any of these shades as an all-over wash of color from your lashes up to your brows using M.A.C Blending Brush #224. Lashes should be lavishly coated for a strong, wide-eyed effect. I love ALL BLACK Fibre Rich Lash Mascara. Add winged tipped eyeliner for a doe-eye effect to the outer corners of your eyes with MAC Fluidline in BLACKTRACK with brush #209.

Keep lips glossy and supple this season. Did you know that aside from eye shadow, what you put on your lips can really contrast with your eye colour (popping your eyes even more)?

For fair to medium skin tones, look at either: VIVA GLAM V, GIDDY, SWEETIE or LUSTERING and GIRL ABOUT TOWN Lipsticks. For medium to darker skin tones, look at BERRY BOOST, DESIRE, SPICE IT UP, FLUID, MEDIA and POLISHED UP Lustre Lipsticks – all by MAC of course!

Cheeks should have a flush of color this season, almost as if you have just stepped out of the cold. I love this with MAC BREEZY or DOLLYMIX Sheertone Shimmer Blushes.

Use their #129 Powder/Blush brush for an air-brushed blend. Cream blush makes drier skin dewy and healthy-looking, Stila’s Convertible Colour gets my top pick for creamy blush.

Try either: FUCHSIA, ORCHID, PETUNIA or FORGET ME NOT.
